Original Moon Landing tapes were accidentally erased by NASA.

I still think it happened, but this will fuel the debate.

This happened to a lot of movies, tv shows and other original film reels as well. It doesn't surprise me if this happened at NASA. I mean, the first 10 years of Johnny Carson have been lost as well.

We've been to the moon. Just not as soon as proclaimed. The original set was fake. But we've been there.

Also, since we've been there, there have been domes made and there is a small group of scientists living up there in space plotting world domination with metal devouring micro-bots (more reasonable usage than nano-bots) made of plastic and mass liquid-nitrogen emitting missiles that can freeze over an entire town with ease if exploded 1 kilometer over the center of the town. They intend to shoot off a missile per town and small cities and release a small army of those micro-bots to every large city in 2012. While they do this, the TV channels (via satellite hacking) will show the leader and at the moment of launch, he will shout:

"COBRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Yeah, as with all new technology, the tapes they were using way back then were expensive and you pretty much had to reuse them. However you'd think that certain important things would have been marked to keep.

I used to when my family went on road trips (like, 8 years ago). I enjoyed listening to the station while I was supposed to be sleeping in the back seat. :3

Conspiracy or not. what i am more curious about is to see the 2 Soviet dogs that were first live creatures in space fottage which im sure was taped. But i NEVER seen the footage back in Europe about it AT ALL. Didnt see the footage from Gagarins space flight except the first couple of seconds him being in the planets orbit. Meh we will see a life feed when we go to Mars =)

winterclaw, George Noory is IMO just as good a host as Art, he just doesn't have the aura that Art did. And I shouldn't use that in the past tense, Art still often does weekends and the occasional weekday fill in. He's back in Manila.

Weren't the first live creatures in space fruit flies? Either way, it's hilarious to think that really, we were not the first life forms from Earth to reach space.

Yeah, I did catch one of art's shows when he talked about being in Manila, how much it cost him to move his cat there, and how he pays his housekeeper $2 a day plus room and board and how that's a good wage over there.

I agree that Noory is a good host, but you are right in that he doesn't have Art's aura nor his voice... Art just has a voice that is just right for the type of show he does whereas Noory has a more conventional radio talkshow voice.

Well......Art has a radio voice that's the result of 50 years of smoking.

Which reminds me of when Conan had Will Arnett on a few weeks ago. Conan complimented Will on his TV commercial voice-over career, and asked about his secret for success. Arnett replied a life-long cigarette habit.

Those gruff, deep voices famous on TV and the radio are usually the result of that. Harry Kalas the same.

One other nice thing about moving to Manila: the pinays worship the putis (I used to have a filipina g/f who was born there). It's not a bad move if you are a single old white guy, which Art was.

But....man's first trip to the moon sure is just bit more important than the Johnny Carson show.

Those tapes, are just as important as any other major item in American History and the fact that they were destroyed/erased is just the first step for NASA to bury it in our minds, without straight out admitting that it was staged.
